Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Switch Patch Incoming

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

The development teams behind Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will soon be implementing a patch for the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

The patch of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for the Nintendo Switch aims to improve input delay and stability, while better optimizing the game for the handheld/console hybrid.

Bugs will also be squashed, including that which prevented map quest markers from disappearing after the target had been dispatched and one affecting the Joy-Cons HD Rumble feature in specific areas.

The patch will also carry with it a pair of nerfs:

  • Familiar upgrade via Grade
  • Dillahammer Head

Level-based strength will also be increased.

The Riga Storaema, Craftwork, Bunnymorphosis, Flame Cannon, Straight Arrow, Chase Arrow, Heretical Grinder, Circle Ripper, Shooting Dagger, Riga Dohin, and Welcome Company shards have also all been nerfed, in addition to the Flying Edge, Rhava Bural, and Rhava Velar weapons.

Some enemies are getting hardier, with Dullahammer Head and Malediction both set to receive an increase in hit points.

Simians will drop Monster Fur more often.

The patch will also bring a slew of changes to the map. The ability to close the map has been remapped to the standard exit/close button — where it should have been all along. Scroll speed and zoom speeds have been improved, while zoom levels will remain when closing and re-opening the map. (The latter will auto-center.) Furthermore, both the marker button and trail-display button have been updated.

Finally, the glitched Overlord achievement is set to be un-glitched — which is critical for all achievement hunters out there. (Though they are fewer and farther between on the Nintendo Switch, which does not have an in-built achievement or trophy system like the Xbox and PlayStation platforms.)
