The team behind ultra-popular online video game Fortnite has tweaked the game’s B.R.U.T.E. spawn rates before next weekend’s Champion Series.

Fortnite has reduced the spawn rates of the B.R.U.T.E. per Storm circle in both Arena and Tournament playlists.

The exact spawn rates are detailed below:

  • Start of Match: There is a now a 21.5 percent chance that between 1-3 B.R.U.T.Es will spawn — down from a 100 percent chance that 2-4 B.R.U.T.Es would spawn.
  • Storm One: There is now a 44 percent chance that between 1-4 B.R.U.T.Es will spawn — down from a 100 percent chance that 2-4 B.R.U.T.Es would spawn.
  • Storm Two: There is now a 40 percent chance that between 1-2 B.R.U.T.Es will spawn — down from a 100 percent chance that 1-3 B.R.U.T.Es would spawn.
  • Storm Three: There is now a 40 percent chance that between 1-2 B.R.U.T.Es will spawn — down from a 66 percent chance that two B.R.U.T.Es would spawn.
  • Storm Four: There is now a 10 percent chance that one B.R.U.T.E. will spawn — down from a 50 percent chance that one B.R.U.T.E. would spawn.
  • Storm Five: There is now a three percent chance that one B.R.U.T.E. will spawn — down from a 10 percent chance that one B.R.U.T.E. would spawn.

Epic Games claims that it will continue to closely monitor the effect of these adjusted spawn rates ahead of the next Champion Series event, which will take place next weekend.

Fortnite quickly became a mainstream sensation but remains a bit of an anomaly on popular reviews aggregator Metacritic. Epic Games’ title has a Metascore of 81 on PC, but an atrociously low User Score of 2.8 — proving, once again, that user reviews are not always the most reliable way to gauge a game’s quality.
