Xbox Game Pass Adding 3 Titles for July 4

Middle-earth: Shadow of War

The Xbox team is adding three games to its Xbox Game Pass lineup, with Middle-earth: Shadow of War and Undertale topping the bill.

The three games coming to the service on July 4 are:

  • Middle-earth: Shadow of War
  • My Time at Portia
  • Undertale

Middle-earth: Shadow of War and My Time at Portia are coming to Xbox Game Pass for Console, PC, and Ultimate. Undertale is coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC and Ultimate.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War (Xbox Game Pass Headliner)

Monolith Production’s Middle-earth: Shadow of War is an open-world action role-playing video game set, as the name implies, in Tolkien’s famous world of high-fantasy. It is the sequel to Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

The Xbox One version of Middle-earth: Shadow of War sat well with critics, receiving an overall Metascore of 81 on reviews aggregator Metacritic. However, it oddly only has a User Score of 3.8.

My Time at Portia

My Time at Portia is a Chinese-developed video game from studio Pathea Games. It was published by Team17 and merges different themes from role-playing and simulation video games.

My Time at Portia isn’t the hottest game to come out in 2018, but received halfway-decent reviews. It currently holds a Metascore of 73 and User Score of 5.2.

Unless you’ve lived under a rock since 2015, Undertale is a game that needs little introduction. It is a critically-acclaimed role-playing game from Toby Fox, a United States-based indie developer, that received a whole slew of praise from players and reviewers all over the industry.

The PC version of Undertale currently holds an impressive Metascore of 92 and User Score of 8.3.
